Privacy Policy

Trump Signal Tracker (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website and service at this domain (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service and delete your account.

Account & identity information

We use Clerk for authentication. When you sign up, Clerk collects your email address, name, and — if you choose — a social-login profile (e.g. Google). We store a reference to your Clerk user ID in our database to associate your preferences, plan, and activity with your account.

Payment information

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or bank details — those go directly to Stripe. We do store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status so we can enforce plan limits and manage billing.

Usage & activity data

We collect data about how you use the Service: articles you view or bookmark, watchlists and keyword alerts you create, notification preferences you set, and API keys / webhook endpoints you generate. This data is stored in our database and used solely to operate the features you have enabled.

Push notification tokens

If you enable browser push notifications we store your push subscription endpoint and encryption keys (generated by your browser) in our database so we can deliver alerts to you. You can revoke permission at any time from your browser settings or the Account page.

Analytics

We operate a first-party analytics system that logs aggregated usage events (e.g. page views, feature interactions) to improve the Service. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-first tool that reports aggregated page views and page-load performance. It sets no cookies, uses no client-side storage, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites. We do not use Google Analytics or advertising / behavioural tracking scripts on this site.

To test changes to our home page, we show some visitors different versions of it and compare how many go on to sign up (“A/B testing”). A random, anonymous identifier in a first-party cookie keeps you on the same version, and we record which version you saw and whether you clicked sign-up or created an account. If you create an account, that record is linked to it and is deleted with it. This is off whenever your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal or you switch analytics off in Cookie settings.

Log & technical data

Like all web services, our hosting infrastructure (Vercel) automatically records server logs including IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, request timestamps, and error traces. These logs are used for security, debugging, and uptime monitoring, and are deleted on a rolling basis.

We use cookies and similar storage only where the Service needs them:

• Session authentication — Clerk sets cookies to keep you signed in. These are strictly necessary for the Service to function.
• Preferences — we keep small values such as your theme, a cached copy of your plan, onboarding progress and your cookie choices in your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage.
• Free-plan limits — the free plan no longer has a viewing time limit. Free accounts that used the earlier 10-minute window may still have a record of when it started; it is deleted with your account.
• A/B testing — one anonymous first-party cookie keeps you on the same version of the site while we test it (see Analytics above).

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Our analytics are cookieless and can be switched off. The full list of cookies and storage, and your settings, are on our Cookie Policy. You can clear cookies and local storage via your browser settings; doing so will sign you out.

• To create and manage your account and authenticate your sessions.
• To process subscription payments and manage your billing relationship through Stripe.
• To deliver push notifications, email alerts, and Discord/Telegram messages you have opted into.
• To enforce plan limits (free vs. Pro) and provide access to the features you have paid for.
• To respond to support requests or other communications you send us.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
• To monitor and improve service performance and reliability.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it to serve you targeted advertisements.

We share data only with the sub-processors listed below, strictly to operate the Service:

We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of us, our users, or the public.

We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: we cancel any subscription, erase your profile, watchlists, saved posts, alerts, votes, notification settings and push subscriptions from our database and caches, and delete your sign-in account with Clerk.

Some copies are kept by our providers where the law requires it or outside our control: Stripe retains payment and invoice records for tax and accounting purposes, Twilio and email providers keep delivery logs of messages already sent, and our database provider's point-in-time backups expire on a rolling basis within 30 days.

Server logs are purged on a rolling 30-day basis. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymised before long-term retention.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data (you can update profile info via Clerk directly).
• Delete your account and associated data — instantly, from the Account page.
• Port your data in a machine-readable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Opt out of non-essential communications (manage from the Account page).
• Switch off analytics in Cookie settings. We also honour Global Privacy Control.

The Service is not directed at anyone under 13 years of age (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Trump Signal Tracker is operated from the United States. Our service providers are primarily US-based. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data transfer restrictions, be aware that your data may be processed in the United States.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: TLS encryption in transit, encrypted database connections, and access controls restricting who can access production systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes we will notify you via email or a prominent in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
